Mizzle green handmade kitchen in Cobham

Metamorphosing from orange into mizzle green.

Our couples basic 1970’s kitchen was crying out for a remodel. They were after a calming and elegant design incorporating an area to breakfast, which doubles as a preparation area.

Keeping with the original layout, we redesigned the flow of the kitchen. Creating more storage space by utilising the full height of the kitchen. Double integrated ovens with cupboard space underneath reduces the need to bend while removing piping hot food and deeper cabinetry allows for a streamlined effect, with ovens running flush against the handmade cupboard doors.

The breakfast bar creates a more spacious feel. As light floods through the room when once it was blocked by heavy set cabinets jutting out into the room. Beneath the ultra-thin hob, wide drawers replace low cabinets, enabling easy access to items and maximising accessibility. Due to the thinness of the hob, it has allowed the top drawer to be utilised too.

A large pantry with internal lighting is a must for anyone regularly cooking. Multiple shelving and a slim rack on the door easily display goods while taking away the need to search in multiple areas, the internal shelves are finished off impeccably, it is almost a shame to close the doors. A carousel to the right of the sink adds extra storage solution for a difficult to reach area. Ensuring every inch is encompassed within the design. As with the full height cabinets, where once there was wasted space gathering dust.

For a streamlined look, the sink is incorporated within the white quartz worktop. Ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted surface around the room. Ergonomic handles finished in brushed satin nickel by Crofts & Assinder work in harmony with the cabinetry colour.

Mizzle from Farrow & Ball instantly adds a calm serenity to the room, creating a soft and contented feel. The pumpkin shape pendant adds texture while complimenting the quiet tones of the design.

To complete the design, a darker wood effect floor in a soft brown finish from Ca’ Pietra helps to ground the room. While the roller blind  from Wiser Interiors picks up the modest grey green on the units.
