We transformed this compact wetroom in Ockham for our clients en-suite. Taking out the bath to create a serene walk in shower with a modern sleek look.
Our clients wanted to totally reinvent the shape of their en-suite. Therefore, we re-structured the shape of the room creating a more practical bathroom space. The brief was to provide an environment with extra counter space. While incorporating a large walk in shower and accent lighting to reflect different moods for the bathroom.
We removed the bath and changed the layout. Adding a wall mounted basin to show off more floor space, giving the illusion of a larger space. The black framed shower screen pulls in the finishes used in the basin and shower areas, marrying the zones together. Recessed shelving in the shower area and above the basin allow for dressing the room to reflect personality of the user and offers a practical solution for personal grooming.
The pale tiles contrast with the black finishes used on the brass-ware and shower screen by Drench, while allowing light to reflect around the compact space – again, giving the feel of a much bigger space.
Accent lighting within the recessed shelves gives this compact wetroom extra dimensions – highlighting corners of the room to give an impression of depth, while allowing our client to choose bright lighting or low key mood lighting.
