Our clients loved the Moroccan zellige characteristics in this pink Ca ‘Pietra tile. Which offers variations in tone and colour for their cloakroom. Creating a softness to a functional space.
The cloakroom had redundant boxing work next to the window, closing the space in and making the room feel awkward, with the many different levels thrown into a small space. We removed the boxing and put in a concealed cistern for the WC, while adding a natural ledge under the window, creating a clean succinct line. Here, we painted the top half of the room in Sulking room pink by Farrow & Ball. Offsetting the colour with a Pumice off white tile, which bestows an organic feel.
We designed the space with storage in mind, using a vanity unit by Dansani. Utilising the full length of the room while creating a calm and spacious feel. The unit is finished in bespoke olive green, which grounds the variations of pink in the zellige inspired tiles.
To marry the soft tones throughout the design, we used brushed brass finishes on the knurled flush plate, mono tap as well as the organic shaped mirror by Bathroom Origins. The radiator by House of Piccadilly, sits elegantly opposite the basin, offset by the terrazzo style tiles.
This small cloakroom really does zing with a unique zellige feel.
