Awards season has become an exciting thread running through our journey at BK11, marking the moments when our bathroom designs, innovation and craftsmanship are recognised by some of the most respected names in the KBB industry. From Designerati to BKU Magazine, each nomination has been a reminder of why we do what we do: to create spaces that blend beauty, practicality and thoughtful design. As the years have passed, these acknowledgements have not only celebrated individual projects but have also highlighted the growth, creativity and dedication of our entire team.
What makes this journey even more memorable is the places it has taken us. From the iconic arch of Wembley to the bright lights of Blackpool, every awards evening has brought its own energy, stories and sense of occasion. These events have given us the chance to connect with industry peers, celebrate the best in bathroom and kitchen design, and reflect on how far BK11 has come. In this blog, we’re taking a look back at the nominations, the venues, the standout designs and the experiences that have shaped our awards journey so far.
2023
2023 marked a turning point for BK11, the year we stepped into the world of industry awards for the very first time. What began as a hopeful entry quickly became an unforgettable experience, culminating in an incredible evening at Wembley Stadium. Walking into such an iconic venue to celebrate the very best in KBB design was a moment that set the tone for everything that followed. It was our introduction to the buzz, the anticipation and the pride that comes with seeing your work recognised on a national stage.
It was also a year of personal milestones within the team. Alex was up for a new designer award, while Adam earned a well‑deserved design nomination, our first ever. That recognition didn’t just celebrate their talents; it validated the direction we were heading as a company. Looking back, 2023 wasn’t just the beginning of our awards journey, it was the year BK11 found its voice in the KBB sector.
Designerati – Bathroom Design Finalist.
Adam wowed the judges and secured a place in the final four, an incredible achievement in such a competitive category. Although we didn’t come away with the award on the night, the recognition he received speaks volumes about his talent and the quality of his master en suite project. We’re immensely proud to see Adam getting the attention he deserves, especially in our very first year of entering the awards scene.
Designerati – New Designer Finalist.
Fresh‑faced and still new to the industry, Alex earned a place as a finalist for the Newcomer of the Year award, an incredible achievement for someone with just two years’ experience. His nomination reflects not only his natural talent and rapid growth, but also the supportive training and creative environment we’ve built here at BK11. It was a proud moment for the whole team and a clear sign of the bright future ahead for him. He did, however, get to meet the football commentator Clive Tyldesley which was a win for the evening for him.
2024
If 2023 was our introduction to the awards world, then 2024 was the year BK11 truly found its stride. With an incredible five nominations across the business, it felt like every few weeks brought another reason to celebrate. Alex led the way with a well‑deserved win, an achievement that highlighted not only his growth as a designer but also the strength of the creative direction we’re building. It was a proud moment for the whole team and a sign that our work was resonating more widely across the KBB industry.
This was also the year our kitchen division stepped confidently into the spotlight, earning a nomination for New Kitchen Retailer of the Year. It marked a significant milestone in the expansion of BK11, proving that our commitment to design excellence extends far beyond bathrooms. Alongside the awards themselves, 2024 was packed with unforgettable industry events. From exploring the latest innovations at the KBB Birmingham show to soaking up the atmosphere at the historic Connaught Rooms in London, each trip brought fresh inspiration, new connections and a deeper sense of belonging within the industry. Looking back, 2024 wasn’t just busy, it was transformative, setting the foundation for everything that would follow.
Designerati – Bathroom Design Finalist.
Back at the Designerati Awards, Adam secured yet another finalist spot—an achievement made even more impressive given the calibre of designers he was up against. To stand shoulder‑to‑shoulder with some of the industry’s biggest names is a proud moment for both him and BK11. Being shortlisted again reinforces the quality of his work and the consistency of his design talent.
BKU Magazine – Bathroom Retailer Finalist.
Time for the spotlight to shine on BK11 itself. Securing a Retailer of the Year finalist spot is a powerful reflection of how far the business has come since Ben first set it up 20 years ago. What began as a small, ambitious venture has grown into a respected name within the industry, one recognised not just for great design, but for service, reputation and consistency. This nomination celebrates two decades of hard work, evolution and commitment, and it marks a milestone the whole team can be proud of.
BKU Magazine – New Kitchen Retailer Finalist.
Leading on from the success of our bathroom division, we expanded into kitchens back in 2021—a move that quickly proved to be the right one. Just a few years later, we found ourselves shortlisted for New Kitchen Retailer of the Year, a nomination that recognised the strength of our early projects and the momentum we’d already built in this new area of the business. It was a proud moment that showed BK11’s design values translate seamlessly across both sides of the company
KBB Review – Bathroom Design Finalist.
A trip to Birmingham was next on the agenda, as Adam’s stunning bathroom design had earned its place among the finalists. The recognition alone made the journey worthwhile, and heading to such a major industry event to celebrate his work was another proud moment for the whole BK11 team.
KBB Review – Bathroom design Winner.
In 2024, we celebrated a defining moment in our journey as Alex took home our very first KBB award, a milestone that marks both personal achievement and collective pride. This win represents years of hard work, creativity and commitment, and it stands as a powerful reflection of the talent that drives our company forward. We couldn’t be prouder of Alex for leading the way and setting a new benchmark for what’s possible. This award isn’t just a trophy on the shelf; it’s a reminder of how far we’ve come and the exciting future we’re building together.

2025
2025 stands out as our most successful year to date in terms of nominations, visibility and industry engagement. While we didn’t take home a trophy this time, the sheer number of nominations we received spoke volumes about how far BK11 has come. Each shortlist felt like a nod from the industry, recognising our design standards, our growth and the consistency of the work we’re producing across both bathrooms and kitchens. In many ways, the nominations themselves became the story of the year, reinforcing that we’re firmly on the radar of the sector’s most respected award bodies.
Hansgrohe – Bathroom Design Finalist.
Adam’s next achievement came in the form of an internal Hansgrohe award, where he was named a finalist for a project designed exclusively with AXOR and Hansgrohe products. As a brand we’ve always admired and championed, being recognised by them directly made this nomination feel particularly special.
Keuco – Bathroom Design Winner.
Adam was awarded a Christmas hamper for Best Design in Keuco’s seasonal competition, a meaningful recognition that we were genuinely delighted to receive. Our relationship with Keuco has grown steadily over the years, and this moment felt like another step in a partnership we truly value. Their products are a joy to work with, and their team has always been supportive, collaborative and committed to great design. We’re proud of Adam’s achievement and grateful for the ongoing connection we’ve built with such a respected brand.
Designerati – Showroom Finalist.
Following on from our retailer nomination, this next shortlist spot shone a light on our showroom itself. This category focuses on the quality of displays, layout, and overall customer experience, areas we’ve worked hard to perfect. To be recognised alongside some of the biggest and most established names in the KBB industry is a huge achievement for us. It reflects the care we put into creating an inspiring space for our customers and shows that our showroom stands confidently among the sector’s heavy hitters.
Designerati – Bathroom Design Finalist.
Adam’s wellness‑inspired bathroom continued to make waves in 2025, earning yet another nomination, this time at the Designerati Awards. The project quickly became one of our most talked‑about designs of the year, praised for its calming aesthetic, thoughtful layout and spa‑like feel.
BKU Magazine – Bathroom Design Finalist.
Alex’s next nomination came from a wonderfully quirky bathroom he designed within a grade‑listed property, a project that demanded creativity, sensitivity and a real understanding of characterful spaces.
BKU Magazine – Industry Newcomer Finalist.
Alex found himself up for a Newcomer award once again—no longer quite as fresh‑faced as the first time, but still very much in the early stages of what’s shaping up to be an impressive career. Being recognised twice in this category highlights not only his rapid development, but also the strong foundation he’s building here at BK11.
KBB Review – Bathroom Design Finalist.
A trip up to Blackpool was next on the cards as we celebrated Adam’s cloakroom nomination, another standout project earning well‑deserved recognition. The event itself was a fun‑filled evening in one of the UK’s most iconic seaside destinations, adding a touch of classic holiday charm to an already memorable moment for the BK11 team.
2026
As we step into 2026, the momentum behind BK11 feels stronger than ever. At the time of writing, we’re eagerly awaiting the judging stage for two award categories at this March’s KBB Review Awards in Birmingham, an exciting milestone that reflects the continued growth and recognition of our team. Being considered for finalist positions so early in the year has set a confident tone for what’s ahead.
What makes this moment even more rewarding is the calibre of the projects we’ve recently completed. Some of our latest designs showcase the very best of what BK11 can do: bold concepts, meticulous detailing and spaces that balance innovation with everyday practicality. They represent the evolution of our style and the high standards we hold ourselves to. With that in mind, we’re hopeful that the next update to this article will be a celebratory one. Whatever the outcome, 2026 is already shaping up to be another standout chapter in our awards journey.
