Handmade Joinery
The overall beauty and appeal of our locally handmade joinery is in its true bespoke nature. Our cabinetry gives us the ability to design and craft your new kitchen to take advantage of all the space your room has to offer; even those awkward corners, supporting beams, and differing ceiling levels.
As all our joinery is made locally in our Cobham workshop, we can customise it endlessly. From hand painted to sprayed finishes, to a more artisanal finish with our French polishing service (to lighten oaken tones with a limewash finish or deepen to rich walnut to highlight the natural wood textures).
When it comes to the doors of your custom-made kitchen, we can either create a unique design to you, or we can follow popular requests such as slimline shaker, in frame, fluted, grooved, slab, glass, and many more. Or create a mix of the above for a textural and appealing aesthetic to your new kitchen.

Layering in functionality through a thoughtful collection of curated appliances specific to you and your lifestyle is a key part of our approach. How can we get appliances to work to your needs? Do you want a boiling water tap? How do you use your ovens – are you a home chef, a keen baker, or do you need the convenience of a combined microwave for short-on-time days? Are you a wine afficionado, or a fan of ice-cold drinks stowed in a cooling drawer? You tell us what you need, and we will match the perfect appliances to your requirements.
Worktops and Splashbacks
Alongside handles, one of the most tactile choices for your kitchen is the work surfaces. Do you want quartz, stone, wood, or porcelain? If you’re not sure, you tell us how you use your kitchen, and we will recommend what suits you best! Natural stone will offer you elegance and opulence, whereas porcelain is sleek, durable, and basically bulletproof for any bumps, scrapes, or spillages.
For your splashback, you could consider extending the stone up the wall to emphasize height and avoid grout lines. Or do you want a splash of colour or pop of pattern using tiling? Once we have finalised the layout of your space, we will look at how many electrical points you need to use your kitchen from a practical view. Not only that, but we match our sockets and switches to your handles and brassware fittings to result in a truly cohesive design. We will discuss atmosphere and scene setting with layered lighting, offering you a vast array of light fittings from discreet LEDS to feature statement pendants that go beyond a simple light fitting to a focal piece of artwork above your kitchen island.

‘Will I be without a kitchen?’ At BK11, we arrange a temporary kitchen and utility services if required, from either simply relocating and setting up a smaller facility in your home, or by hiring an on driveway remote kitchen and laundry station.
‘Do I need to move out?’ You don’t have to; we will make the whole process as comfortable as possible. However, if you would prefer to, some of our clients do choose a holiday to escape some of the renovation works. In which case, you can trust that our team is managing your whole renovation and can keep you updated remotely. We will handle the complete removal, relocating of services, and installation whilst keeping in mind temporary solutions so that you can still use your home, if required.
